Another MAC to PC Problem

Jukka

I have a seemingly random problem. Recently, I have created some
Powerpoint presentations that included several Excel charts in them. I
pasted them as pictures on the slides. When my colleagues on PCs open
the document, a handful of the charts do not appear while probably 75%
appear normally. It makes no sense to me since I pasted all of the
charts the same way.

I have tried the workaround of using PDF images of the charts.
However, that bloats the file size and the images are not as clear.

Is there anything that anyone can suggest, please...

Thanks,
Jukka

If PowerPoint offers the option of ungrouping the charts after they've been
pasted as pictures, try ungrouping.

Otherwise, try pasting normally instead of as picture, then ungroup and
regroup the charts.
That converts them from (usually) platform-specific graphics to PowerPoint
shapes, which tend to go back and forth beteween Mac/PC more reliably

Do the ones that post incorrectly include text that has been rotated?
This is often the case on the vertical axis. This often (nearly always)
causes problems. Also, can you do a simple screen capture and put it
in as a graphic? Do so by pressing shift+cmd+4 This brings up a
crosshares. You can then select the chart on the screen and it becomes
a pictuer clipping on your desktop.

Good luck, let's hope they fix these problems soon.
