Any way to make Insert Picture browse the disk normally?

When I use Insert Picture in Powerpoint 2003, I get a file dialogue
that shows everything as pictures. This makes it very cumbersome to
navigate directories. It also doesn't recognise my double-click mouse
button. Is there any way to turn this into a normal file dialogue?
