ASP Template, E-commerce

At work we have a website where we sell articles. Right now a user submits a
form and the credit card transaction is done manually and then articles are
shipped or provided for download.

Each article has it's own page with standard info (i.e. Volume, Title,
Author, Keywords...). I put all this information into a database and I want
to create an ASP template (not sure if this is the right term) that
basically creates an article page on the fly by pulling up information from
the database. Like I would have one page for each year with a the title of
each article published that year, and then when you click on it, the page
would be made automatically, formatted, and all that good stuff.

I know my database works because I was able create a database results page
and a sort of working search page but other than what I find in the help
feature, I'm not really sure how to go forward.

Once I figure this out we want to process the credit card transaction
online. We have a merchant account and bought software called StoreFront and
ideally all of these new features would be integrated.

Does anybody have any thoughts as to how I can started with creating my
template and a good search page? Any input on integrating with e-commerce.

Looking forward to your feedback! Thanks in advance.
