Assign a macro to a graphic in a word document.

I am trying to add a macro to a document so that it closes and hyperlinks to
another. I can add the hyperlink BUT I want the document automatically close
so others can have access to it. I have tried using a macro but I am having
difficulty assigning it to a graphic. Am trying to create something simple
for students to use but do not want to add as a button to the toolbar as
this could confuse beginners

You'd need to use a MacroButton field in the Word document. Just insert the
graphic as the "display text".

Thanks, got it working and found shortcut when hit ctrl + pf9 by accident
instead of Alt +pf9 so can enter command as well as using menus.
