Assigning expense/actual costs to tasks

Hello,
It appears I can only enter one fixed cost per task, since it is a
column I insert.

If I had more than one cost on a task, I was thinking I could assign
multiple cost expense resources to a task. However, when I enter a
cost resource such as Expense Hardware with a Type as Cost, it does
not allow me to enter a cost in the cost column, or even in the cost/
use column - why not?
Thanks

I think I answered my own question. What you need to do is switch to
the Gantt chart view and there you can enter a Cost in the Cost column
of the Assign Resources window.
