Assigning Macro to Number Pad Key

I have a macro that's currently assigned to the keys [CNTL] + 1. I'd like to
also have the macros assigned to [CNTL] + 1 with the 1 being on the number
pad on the keyboard. I can't get the number pad's numbre 1 to run the macro.
Will this work or do I need to do something special for the number pad's
keys to run it?
