AT&T settings

Thanks Diane, I will download and do that. And I've started working
the issue internally. I actually work for AT&T, but not the Internet
group. FYI - there are also some PC users with Outlook having
problems. I'll let you know what happens.

I have posted this to a number of help lists so am going to send the
same answer to everyone. Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

At last I have a solution. I upgraded my OS X to version 10.4.10 at
no cost. I purchased Microsoft Office 2004 upgrade for the Mac thus
upgrading from my previous version, which was Office X. Installed the
new office suite and then upgraded Entourage to version 11.3.3 at no
additional cost. Then I entered the new settings and all worked
fine. Evidently I missed seeing that there was an upgrade to Office X
available so never bought it. Or maybe I didn't buy it because the
upgrade was around $199. I'm not sure. At any rate, I suppose as
things change, one is forced to make the upgrades.

My solution (today) is a little different. I was on an old version of
Entourage X (Educational version) that is not supported by AT&T. I
decided I did not want to pay to upgrade to Office 2004 since a new
version will be coming out before too long.

So, I switched to OSX Mac Mail - put in the required AT&T security
settings, and it's all working perfectly. I imported my e-mail msgs
from Entourage, and my Contacts into the OSX Address book.

All is well for me.

Thanks for all of your help! But without upgrading it just wasn't
going to happen.
