attach icon locks up system

Using Windows XP Pro with Outlook 2003.
Has been working fine, now it:
When I am sending an email, as soon as I try to attach a document, using the
icon, Outlook freezes up. I can still drag and drop attachements.
I have run the repair tool, still does't work.
Any good info out there?

Do you have any mapped network drives that currently can't be reached?
Disconnect them and try again.
