when I open a powerpoint attachment on this one particular email, I get a
popup from my Kerio firewall saying that "POWERPNT.EXE from your computer
wants to connect to <secretwebsite>.com [123.123.12.12], port 80". (I
changed the name and address to keep anonymity.) I am especially curious
because this is an internal company powerpoint presentation, but the website
it tries to connect to is a competitor!!
I asked on the powerpoint news forum, and tried the basics of looking for
links and macros, don't find any. But when I save this file to my hard
drive, and then open it from the hard drive, it does NOT try to connect to
the website. So I am posting here because somehow it only tries to access
when I open it from outlook, but not when i open it from the hard drive.
Any ideas where to look? I tried to "view source" but it doesn't show me
anything.
