I've run into a rather bizarre problem of late: when a message with an
embedded image is sent from Outlook 2002 (Exchange mode) through Lyris
listserv software to an Outlook 2002 client, a paperclip appears
besides the email in the message list. When opening the message it
appears as it should and there is no clickable attachment.
This problem does NOT occur:
* when sending from Outlook Express through Lyris
* when sending the same message without an embedded image
* when sending the same message to the same users WITHOUT going
through Lyris
I've already tried:
* turning Word as an email editor on and off (no effect, short of
different spacing)
* Upgrading to the latest Office service packs (no effect)
NOTE: when I receive the message in Outlook 2003 there is no
paperclip. And I believe it works fine in OL 2000, but I'm not
positive.
Thus the question becomes: what is Lyris doing to the message to make
it appear to have an attachment? And why does this problem occur when
sent through Outlook 2002 and not from Outlook Express? Is there a
solution?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you,
