Attachment makes the msg text disappear?

Hi, using Outlook 2002. I have a user who claims that sometimes when he
inserts a document into a message it irrevocably deletes his message text.
This only happens with attachments. I haven't been able to recreate this on
his or anyone's machine, but I was wonder if anyone has heard of this before
I pin the problem on the interface between the seat and the keyboard.

We do use iManage, and it is probably primarily iManage documents he's
inserting.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
