Attachments get renamed when received

receive e-mails with attachments that get renamed.
Example: User A sends e-mail with attachemnt "test.xls"
User B receives attachment as "test.xls 11 26 03 9 29"
The only fix that has been found is to delete the time
stamp after the .xls. Any Ideas?
