Attempting to print causes disaster

I have made a few changes to my document but now it will not print. Every
time I try to print I get a popup window to send an error report to
Microsoft. Then Word goes through a recovery attempt on a half dozen
documents and tells me it has repaired the files.

This must be some kind of big deal known to Microsoft because there are a
lot of popup windows with help messages. Unfortunately it is all useless.
What do I do now?

Can you print other documents? If you can, I believe that your unprintable
document has become corrupted in some manner. If you can't print other
documents, I would try and re-install the printer driver after removing it
completely.
