Audio in pack and go

Holly

I created a presentation and want to send it to someone
who does not have Power Point. I created the file in
Package to CD fine but when the recipient gets it, the
audio part does not play with the slides. It does on my
original presentation.

How did you link the sound into PowerPoint?

You need to ...
1) Move/copy the sound file into the same directory as the PPT file.
2) Then "insert" it into the presentation (it is almost always linked, not
embedded.
3) Package to CD

But Package to CD will take care of broken links and will fix the link and
include the file in the package. I'll bet she's using PowerPoint 2002 or
earlier, since the subject line mentions Pack and Go. But then Pack and Go
should have fixed the link too. It could be a problem with the MCI settings
or the codec on the other end.

Did you include the sound file on the CD with the other files?

What type of sound file is it, anyway? How big is it? What version of PPT are you using?
