auto refresh presentation on server

Sue Standley

I am using a powerpoint presentation to display information on a screen in
another part of the building. The presentation has been uploaded to a server
and a shortcut has been placed on my pc desktop so that I can edit it as and
when I need to. I make my changes and save the document but the changes are
not being reflected on the screen. Can anyone throw some light on how I can
get the powerpoint doc on the server to refresh itself?

Sue,

If you use a "linking" method to have a "main/driver" presentation
callup/trigger a "slave" presentation, then you can edit the slave
presentation. The next time the main/driver presentation calls up the slave
presentation, the changes will be reflected.

This powerpoint tutorial was not designed with that in mind, but it does
work
