I'm currently running WinXP Pro SP1 with Outlook 2003 in Cached Mode.
I'm using MS's native VPN/PPTP client to connect to an exchange
server. Outlook in configured to Auto Send/Received (auto launch vpn)
to Exchange. About a week ago the Auto part stopped. When I hit F9
Outlook Auto-connects VPN and successfully sync's. The interval is set
at 7 minutes which was the same when this was working. I have Norton
Anti virus running, which i disabled just in case. Still not
auto-launching VPN (i've re-enabled norton in case you're concerned).
One more thing: Every 7 minutes Outlook's status reflects it
attempting to connect to Exchange. Somehow the VPN just doesn't want
to work start. After about 10-15 seconds an error appears which states
"an error has occured" or "exchange is not available".
It isn't a huge deal to lift an arm and hit a key. But
still....anybody have an idea?
