"Auto" setting in paragraph formatting

Greetings-
Does anyone have any clue as to the exact value(s) of the ´Auto¡ setting
regarding ´space before¡ in the paragraph dialog?

The "auto" option was added primarily for HTML compatibility. It is needed
when an HTML document is
opened in Word. There is a compatability option called "Don't use HTML auto
paragraph spacing" which you can enable in
Tools - options -Compatibility tab.
