Auto Text entry per usage of "IF" statement

Not new to programming, just how things work within Word.
I have a form, which if one text field is = to x, then I would like to
automatically insert text to another text field.

After my automatic insertions, then prompt the user of the form for
additional entries.

Thank you!! :c)

Look into the IF field -- not a form text field. Make sure that your form
fields that will be tested have the property "calculate on exit" checked.
What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." For more
about online forms, follow the links at

Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,

Thank you so much for your response Charles. I will be sure to read up a bit
