Auto text to automatically open templates??

T

Trish H

Working on a computer at an old job, I was able to type 'facs' or 'memo', an autotext entry would be displayed and by pressing 'Enter' the facsimile or memo templates would automatically open. (It was much more direct than having to open the template folder and load the templates.) I have tried unsucessfully to set this function up in my new computer but have not been able to. How do I link autotext to the document templates so I can again use this?? I use Word 2002
Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered!!

Autotext is simply a means of inserting text/graphics etc in a document.
Presumably the fax/memo layouts had been saved in the autotext entry. You
would need to prepare the layout(s) and save them as autotexts to achieve
the same.
