Autocorrect won't save entries when shut down

I am having a problem with the autocorrect feature on my PC at work. I enter
formatted entries like a full name and address, save it, and it will work
until I shut down. when I reboot the computer, those entries are not there.
They used to work, in fact, I still have some that worked a month ago still
in there, but now I can only save unformatted entries from day to day. I can
not use system restore far enough back to fix whatever may have changed (I
tried).

I am using Office 2003 and XP professional. Is this a registry problem?
What am I doing wrong??? HELP!

Formatted AutoCorrect entries are saved in Normal.dot, so the likelihood is
that Normal.dot is not being saved when you quit Word. If you have Adobe
Acrobat 7 installed, then it is the reason. See the last section of
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm for help on that.
If that's not the explanation, the problem could be caused by another
add-in. Or, if you are being prompted to save Normal.dot and declining, then
that would explain it.

I DO have Adobe Acrobat 7 installed!!! This is a new PC with software being
added every few weeks and abt a month ago, that was put on there! I would
have never figured that out, not before pulling out what's left of my hair!
I really don't need that version of Adobe so tomorrow, IT IS OUT OF THERE!
Thank you Suzanne! You're a genius!

No need to uninstall Acrobat. See Graham's article for instructions. I
believe there's an Adobe update that corrects the problem, anyway.

You can run Add/Remove Programs, select Adobe Acrobat and chose CHANGE. Then
you can deselect the Add-ins and Macros and Adobe setup will remove them. It
will still appear as a printer driver on your system, so you can still
create PDFs but with limited automation.

I believe I read that Adobe has released an update that resolves these
problems (but as I haven't tested it and knowing Adobe's ability to screw
up) I wouldn't hold your breath).
