AutoExec does not run

Hi,

following strange thing happens on some (not all) computers in our company
net.
I have "template.dot" template placed in Word startup folder. There is an
AutoExec makro in a template, but it does not run on some computers and also
no makro is listed in "makro list (alt+F8)".
It is strange, because I checked "Word STARTUP folder" in Word settings and
it is correct.

Did something like this happened to you, did you find the way out?

Thanks

Have you checked that all computers have their Word set up to point to the
same start up folder? Have you checked that none of the offending computers
have their Word security set to maximum.
If so, some info on the macro itself might help: What kind of macro is it? I
mean, what does it do, where is it stored in the template, how is it
declared?

Thanks for the answer!

As for startup folder - I check it by using Word COM
(Application.StartupPath) and also by Word settings.
As for Word security - all computers are set to HIGH (I did not do any
change).

I am wondering why these computers act in different way. It may be something
with Microsoft Outlook or some registry settings?

One thing is that makro does not run and the other is that it is not listed
in "makro list (alt+f8)".

Have you checked that all computers have checked both options at the bottom
of the "Trusted publishers" tab in the Security dialog?

If Word is used as email editor in Outlook, then I believe that some
AutoExec macros are not launched when Word is started from Outlook. I never
use Word as the editor in Outlook, but I know it causes problems with
macros. I bet that someone with more experience with Word as an Editor in
Outlook will be along shortly. If not, do a Google group search with, for
example, Word Outlook Macro as key words.
