Autofit problem when importing MS Word outline

I create outline in Word and then open the file with Powerpoint. The bulleted
text in a placeholder won't 'Autofit' unless I copy the text to a new slide.
Is there a way to make Autofit work with the bulleted text directly from Word
outline import?
