Autoformatting in Excel

I have set up a large spreadsheet spanning sales figures
for several years. In many areas, I have a blank that I
would like to auto-populate with a zero instead. Is there
an easy way to do this

Hi
try the following:
- select your data range
- hit F5 and click 'Special'
- choose 'Empty cells'
- enter 0 and hit CTRL+ENTER

How is the blank created?

Just nothing in the cell?

OR a result of an IF formula like =IF(A1*B1=0,"",A1*B1)?

If the former, Edit>Go To>Special>Blanks>OK

Enter 0 in first selected cell then hit CRTL + ENTER to populate all blank
cells.

If the latter, change to =IF(A1*B1=0,0,A1*B1)
