automatic attachment removal when forwarding

When I am out of the office for any length of time, I
generally forward my messages, sometimes to a mobile
device.

I would now like to be able to set a rule in Outlook by
which Outlook will strip any attachments from the messages
being forwarded, so that I get only the body of the
message. I have tried to set such a rule, but it seems
to be unsupported. Any ideas or workarounds?

YOu are correct that OUtlook has no such rule action. There are third-party tools that should be able to help with is. See http://www.slipstick.com/addins/auto.htm
