Automatic Colors

Can you set up MS Project to create automatic colors? For example before I
type a few of my tasks I want them to automatically be red. that way I dont
have to select all of the texts and change the font color.

That changes all of the tasks to the same color. I want to set it up where
if I enter tasks in rows 1-5 I want that to be blue, 6-10 rows red, 7-10 rows
tasks are orange and so on. Does that make sense?

I tried selecting the rows first and then changing the colors using format
text styles, but it isnt working.

If you want specific rows with different colors, manually is the only way.
If it isn't working for you manually read help and follow the instructions
because it works for me!

If it really is that regular a pattern you want, you could use
conditional formatting as outlined on the FAQ pages. You would have to
have an additional bar style for each of the number ranges you define
(this could potentially be very large). The bar style would be based on
the id column given your example above.
