Sonia

Hi all,

On a MS Professional client :

On File menu - Save :
I want to to save .xml of a .mpp file

On Open:
I want to open the .xml version of the project file

How can this be achieved without using an Active X - by some standard window
services.

Any assistence on this regard will be appreciated.
Thanks and Cheers,
Sonia.

Hi,

Select Tools, Macro, Record Macro and record a macro of you manually saving
to xml then opening from xml. The recorded macros can be edited for
different file names and options as required.

Hi Rod,

Thanks for your response.

The challenge for me is the CTRL + S ( Save ) and CTRL + 0 (Open) is
reserved for MS. I want to achieve this without additional user actions. The
idea is user should be sort of unaware of this opertaions.

The requirement is : My portal based application wants to read the .mpp (
we can only work with xml ) change some data in our application and then save
this back to the same client : Challenge is user will just browse to the .mpp
for upload to application and then will browse back to the same path.

One more question can this macro be predelivered as a downloadable.

Cheers,
Sonia.
