Automatic run for slide show?

I must be missing something...
novice, yes...I'm trying to make a slideshow. I can set it up just fine but it wont start automatically if I send it to a friend. You have to click to see the next picture.

I had set the timer I thought, to medium speed, thinking that was setting an auto showing but no luck.
It played as a mov file but it was 50MB!
Saving as a pps or pptx or a ppt, none will run on their own.

I checked and I have selected to "play all"...
Any clues??
Many thanks-

It sounds like the "timer" you set has do do with Transitions, which only
has to do with the speed of the Transition itself. In order to have the
slides advance automatically you need to do either/both of the following:

1- Go to Slide Show> Rehearse Slide Timings, manually advance through the
slides while observing the Timer that appears in the corner of the display &
accept the timings once the show ends, and/or

2- Select each slide one at a time or in any combination [easiest in Slide
Sorter View], then use the Options button in the Transitions group of the
Elements Gallery to specify a duration for the selected slides.

Once you've done that go to Slide Show> Set Up Show & select the option in
the Advance section to Use Timings If Present.
