Hello Everyone
Here's what I would like to accomplish.......
Quite often, the subject of my email will contain a
certain word or phrase (although the entire subject line
will differ from email to email).
I want to insert a line of text {for arguments sake, let's
just call it "Have a Nice Day!), if the subject line
contains this phrase.
I thought of several options, all of which either don't
work, or are not appealing to me.
(1) Using a signature. I could use I signature I suppose,
however I don't want this line of text in every email, and
I really don't want to rely upon the user to insert it
manually, fearing that they will forget.
(2) AutoText I think this would require using Word as my
Email editor (something I want to avoid). It would slso
rewuire the user to insert the Autotext maually. Some
problem as above.
(3) Rules Wizard. I did take a look at this. But there
doesn't seem to be an option to "Insert a Signature" if an
email subject contains certain words. I saw an option
for "Custom Action," but confess I can't find
documentation on how this works.
Any suggestions? I have never used VBA for Outlook, but
have sone some simple programming in Word and Access VBA.
I am willing to use it if necessary.
Thanks in advance. I know this email is long, but I
wanted to give as much detail as possible.
Best to All,
-Don
