Automatically Deleting E-Mail From Inbox

Once I reply to an e-mail, I'd like the original of the e-mail to be deleted from my Inbox automatically. My replies with the original e-mail at the bottom of them are in the Sent Items folder, so I don't want to have to manually delete the original messages from my Inbox

Thanks for any suggestions anyone may have re Rules, setting defaults, writing a VBA script, etc.
