Automatically Enable Macros on specific Template

Bryan Linton

Users in our sales department regularly use a particular Excel template that
requires macros. Other than globally lowering the macro security level,
what can I do to allow macros automatically just for that one template?

Thanks,

Bryan

Wouldn't that be a tad insecure? The whole point of disabling Macros, is
so they don't run automatically! And you want a method to run Macros
automaically dispite being disabled?!?!?!?! No wonder the scammers and
phishers are so successful!

If you read my post again you'll see my question is reasonable. I want to
know if there's a way I can leave the macro security level high (that's
right: high), but explicitly trust *this* and ONLY this spreadsheet to run
macros, since I retain full control of the spreadsheet and I know it is
safe. The alternatives are:

1) Lower macro security to "Low" to eliminate the prompt (obviously not
desirable)
2) Train users to correctly respond to the macro security warning
(completely acceptable)
3) Configure the template and/or users' Excel settings to allow this
spreadsheet to open without a prompt, while leaving macro security at an
acceptably high level (even better than option 2)

Do you follow me now?
