autorun a PPT on eg a 20 sec "next" setting

Is it possible to set a powerpoint slide show onto automatic display?

I have a need for the initial showing to be manual to next slide (or item
within one). Then I want to quickly flip the settings to something like
"automatically click 'next' for the next timed event / slide every <chosen
time interval e.g. 20 secs>". This also being followed by "continuous loop"
from end back to beginning until manually interupted.

I'm sure I've seen this option before but can no longer track it down, even
through the help system. I'm using Office XP and Office 2003.

Ludwig,

What you are asking sounds like a variation of what you can achieve using
the looping tutorial.
It's handy when you want some slides to loop, but not others.

The tutorial is currently for powerpoint 97 and 2000.

The 'linking' tutorial has been updated for 2002 / xp / 2003, and it's very
similar to the "looping" one, should you get stuck on the 97/xp
differences..... it's at
