autoshape default

Word help says that you can set an "autoshape default" for an object. It
works for the doc I'm in, but doesn't transfer to any new doc. Anyone know
how to set a new autoshape default that will work in any new doc?

You have to open the NORMAL.DOT template and make the setting in it. Then
delete the drawing, save, and close.

Thanks Cindy,

But I couldn't find a file called Normal.dot. I'm using Word for Mac 2004.

Any ideas?

Robert

Hi Robert,
But I couldn't find a file called Normal.dot. I'm using Word for Mac 2004.
Then you need to ask in a MAC newsgroup :) A lot of things are the same, but
some things are different; and I think the way files are referred to is one
of them... About all I know of Macs is that they exist :)
