Average work percentage

Michael Vestel

I am trying to find a way to display the average percent of work people have
on a project.

Right now i take the total work they have (say 4.5 months) and divide it by
the total duration of the project (9months) for 50% average worktime. I dont
see an actual field name that does this for you. i tried to write a formulat
to just take the "work" field and divide it by 9 and then display it, but
could not get that to work

any suggestions?

Whoops! Correction (before anyone jumps in):

100 x 8 x 60 = 48000
Work/60/48000

Trevor,
Boy, you just got that in in time. I was ready to pounce . . . :)

That kind of mistake comes from doing simple calculations in EXCEL
unnecessarily, and dividing instead of multiplying, and then just copying
the answers without checking to see if they make sense.

Trevor,
I understand fully. There's been more than one instance when I've had to
re-post to correct an error I made in an earlier post. Of course, it's
most embarrassing if I don't catch it myself first :)
