AVI files

I also have been having trouble playing some AVI and MPEG
files in PPT03. The biggest problem is MPEG animations
that are moved from a CD to my harddrive: they will play
in PPT03 if I link them to the CD, but not to the same
file placed on the hard drive. Any thoughts?

Sounds as if your links are broken.

Place the AVI/MPEG in the folder with your presentation before you
insert it into the presentation. Don't link to them while the movies are
still on the CD or PPT will always look to the CD for the movie...
