Back & forth compatibility - size distortion issue

L

Liz

Someone HAS to know how to take a presentation done in an older version -
like 2000 - work on it in 2007 and NOT have the presentation quadruple in
size. I need to be able to return to the client, and they need to be able to
use it.

What do I do?

Liz,

I'm guessing the person using 2007 is saving the file as the type
"Powerpoint 97-2003 Presentation"

Earlier versions of powerpoint did not 'compress' bitmaps/pictures. That's
probably causing the file bloat. Or the fact that powerpoint is saving more
versions that it needs to, or it's doing a bad conversion of some element of
your presentation.

Either edit the file on powerpoint 2000, or hint that maybe your client
really needs to update things

cheers
