Background Image Help!

Any thoughts out there on my question, posted 1/12/2006, "Background Image
Size Problems"? Here is a copy of the post:

So with Publisher 2003, I'm able to insert jpeg images into the background of
my booklet (by Format-Background-More Backgrounds-Picture), but they are
sizing inconsistently on different pages. I size them all in Photoshop, same
res (in this case, 200dpi) same image size (6.5in x 11in). One image inserts
beautifully, the other crops down to the upper left-hand corner of the image,
and blows that portion up to 6.5 x 11. I cannot seem to find any other
differences in the two images that would account for this. Help! And
thanks...

Would a read-only file have anything to do with this?

Thanks for any insight you may have..... I'm totally stumped.

You can have any number of Master pages for your publication. What happens if you
create a new Master page and insert the background?

Thanks for responding -- The Master page background does the same thing as if
I insert the image in the publication itself. Some images it enlarges and
some it tiles, even though the size and resolution are the same. I thought,
heck, I'll just choose another image and be done with it, but the next two I
chose did the same thing.

A workaround would be to insert your image on a Master page and resize it to fit
rather than using the background command.

Dang. I was afraid you'd say that! I'm sure that will work fine - just
hoping to figure out this oddity. Thank you very much for your help, Mary.
