background music

I've learned how to start an mp3 on one slide and have it run thru
several slides, but how to i save it as part of the powerpoint file?

I tried to embed it (as oppossed to 'insert>Movies and Sounds>Sound from
a file') but it didn't have the same options for playing thru multiple
slides...

What am i missing?

MP3 files are not embedded, only linked and have to go wherever the
presentation goes.
