Background

I am trying to create a "wanted" poster for my classroom. I want to put a
wood-like background, and also the "torn-paper" border art for a border on
top of the background. The problem is, that inside of the border art, there
is a white space where the background doesn't come through. How do I fix
this so that the border art is like any other art that is transparent except
for the line? Thanks.

You can copy the BorderArt, paste special as a Windows Metafile, ungroup and
delete the white area. It will be a bit tedious.

Something to try....just as an experiment.

Copy/paste the following image to your desktop.
http://www.lolaness.com/upload/upload/wanted-poster-template.jpg

Open Publisher and add your wood background
to a new canvas.

Create a text box on the wood background the
size you require for the poster and with the textbox
selected...insert the image from the desktop.

On the "Picture Toolbar" left click "Set Transparent
Color".

Make the white border on the poster invisible with
a left click.

Typing...Ctrl+Shift+O...will toggle the boundaries
on or off so you can get a better view.

Add the text, pictures, etc. for the poster.
