Baseline Work - wrong total

M

Mark Durrenberger

I've got a column of data in the Baseline Work field
The total shown on the project summary task is about 2x the actual total???
(using Excel to check the numbers)

(Running Project Std 2002)

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Mark

It sounds like one or more resources got assigned to the summary task, in
addition to each of the subtasks. This usually results in the doubling of
Work shown on the summary task. Hope this helps.

Dale, I had thought that also, however there are no resources in this
document the work was estimated directly without assigning resources...

Hi Mark,
Is it possible that your baselines for individual tasks
is different (saved at a different time) than the
baseline work for the project summary task? For example,
if I save a baseline for the entire project and then go
change data and re-baseline just selected tasks (omitting
the project summary task), I can re-create what you are
seeing.

Hope this helps.
