Batch printing without launching word

Hi all,
What is the preferred way to batch print a number of word documents? I find
that if I select several documents and send them to the printer I have to
suffer them popping up briefly one at a time as they are sent.. This is not
very convenient when I am trying to do other things on the computer.

I searched on the web and spotted a number of third party batch processing
programs, but I would prefer not to install more software if there is a way
to configure word to do what I want.

What's the best method?

The method I often use is to use Windows Explorer. With Explorer, you can
select the files you want to print and then go to File, Print,

Voila!! Everything is printed automatically using whatever application is
required to open those files. You can continue doing something else on your
computer assuming it has adequate resources like memory, processor speed etc
etc.

Unfortunately that is the method I use, which results in all of the word
documents selected popping up one by one as the batch is processed.

The time this process takes might be shortened if I was sending print jobs
to a physically connected printer, but I am sending the batch print job
through a wireless LAN.

However, I just need the word print jobs to be sent with no interruptions
from the MSWord GUI.
