The BCWS value of some of the summary task in my project plan is not equal
to the sum of the sub-tasks. In 1 instance I have only 1 sub-task that has a
BCWS value and there are no negative fixed costs associted with it however
the summary task BCWS value is less than that of the sub-task.

Take a look at how the costs acrue - start, prorated, or end - and compare
with where the status date is.
