Behavior of future tasks that are complete

I always do a search before posting so please forgive me if this has already
been addressed.

Of course a plan is great but life doesn't always follow the plan (I have
automatically level resources turned on).

So.....how do I handle a task that is 2 weeks out (for example) and now the
resource says that it is 100% complete.

Set it 100% complete then change the finish date.

Thanks. This sort of helps. However, when I change the date it assumes it
knows how long it took. I'm sure after I use this more, all of the
constraints and dependencies will be more apparent. I actually changed to 0%
and moved some things around and then when it was close to where I wanted it
on the calendar, I changed it back to 100%.

Augh. I really want to get better at this.

Hi,

OK, here's a more rapid way to make it more accurate
Insert the columns actual start, actual duration, actual finish
Enter an actual finish and an actual duration.
That does it
