bend image

What version Publisher? The autoshapes and line drawings can be curved... You can
ungroup an image and manipulate the separate parts.

How can I bend an image, making it rainbow shaped?

Using a photo manipulation application?
(Does anyone know if Microsoft Digital Image Pro can do this?)

DIP can skew and distort an image in many
ways and shapes but a simple arc like a rainbow
is not included. There may be a plug-in filter that
can do it but I'm not aware of one.

You could choose an arc at...Add / Shape...then
you could fill it with an image. Only problem is it
will be like a cutout...it won't include the complete
image.

Anything DIP can do, PSP can do better... ;o)

I would beg to differ.)

So you've done an in-depth comparison of DIP 10 vs PSP9, then?! PSP is only
feet behind Photoshop. DIP isn't worthy to lick PSP's boots...

Attached is a rainbow made inside Publisher using

OK, but filling an autoshape with a
picture still results in a cutout.

Do you know a way to bend an image
into an arc?

Publisher has very little flexibility for this kind of
work, it can be done but not well. However if this is the
only application you have... See attached

Pretty neat, and you are quite creative...but it
still appears to be a cutout.

Do you want the image to fill the whole page? Any single image by itself will look
cut-out. In Corel I can make a photo look the way your test image appeared, distorted
and stretched. It is a normal Paint effect. In Publisher I have to fake it. I can
distort an image and curve it. Why I would want to is another subject.

I wouldn't want to do it...that was just the request
of the OP. The sample I posted is a panorama that
is actually bent...and no doubt...a *bent* image would
be distorted.

Cheers.
