Best way to get from Pub to Word?

C

Catt

Hi again,
Is there a way to either export to or save a .pub file so that Word will
open it?
I need to email files from publisher to people but, of course, if they don't
own Publisher program they cannot open it, whereas, Word and Word Perfect
seem to have an interchange going and most can open it there. Or maybe there
is another work around????If so , please tell me, it would save me from
taking all of my pub files and converting them. Thanks
Catt

Word is not a universal file format, and is certainly not designed to be
opened by anyone and everyone.

PDF is designed to be portable (it stands for Portable Document Format), and
anyone with the free Adobe Reader can open it. Layout information is
preserved virtually perfectly (whereas in Word format page layout can be
borked very easily). When viewed on a computer not running Word (e.g.
running Word Viewer, or especially running OpenOffice or similar), complex
Word layout will very often be destroyed.

There are free converters to convert your document to PDF, including
PrimoPDF from www.primopdf.com
