best way to represent multiple people on same task

in MS Project what is the most efficient way to handle the situation where 2
or more people are assigned to the same task?

Should I setup 2 instances of the same task and assign each of the 2 people
to each of these 2 tasks?
OR
Should I setup the task only once and assign both 2 people to it (seperate
by "," in the RESOURCE NAME field)
OR
Should I really setup this task as a parent task without assigning Resources
and setup 2 child tasks under it with each person assigned to each child task?

e.g. I have personA and personB on same task taskC. personA is assigned 3
hours on taskC and personB is assigned 10 hours. What is the best way to
setup the task and assign resources so that MS Project will be able to mark
the task as 100% complete after I entered 3 hours for personA and 10 hourse
for personB in "Actual Work" field?

Fei,

Just one Task with both resources assigned.

Use the Assign resources button on the toolbar to assign separately with
their assigned amount of hours.

When you enter 3 hrs and 10 hrs in for erelevant resource the task will
automatically clear out remaining work and mark as 100% complete.(if fixed
work task) It not use the Task information button to clear out remaining
duration.

Fei,
Create one task and assign both resources to the task.

Apply a split to the window so that you can access the Task Form view and in
the work field enter the total amount of work that each resource is expected
to do.

MSP will not mark the %cmpl as 100% as this relates to duration NOT work
complete so when you record your actuals you will have to either Update the
project using the options in the Tools>Tracking menu or manually mark the
task as complete.

I don't know what your default settings are for tasks
