Prior to installing the beta, did you check to verify that your system
had the necessary system requirements?

And when you say that you try to open a Word doc, do you mean from a
different version? Did you install the beta on your production system
with your normal working documents? If so, did you read the
instructions that Beta software should never be installed on a
production system?

Sounds like you should uninstall as your system might not have enough
power to handle the new version.

If the above is not the case, please provide more details.

If you have Norton AV installed, uncheck the option for the Office Plug-In.

I am having the same problem when running microsoft office 2007 beta 2 tr.
Word wont start and claims it is short of memory or disk space.
Interestingly my problems started when I removed a beta of media player 11
and installed the new version. Both office XP and office 2007 gave me errors.

I removed both versions of office and reinstalled 2002 followed by 2007. I
am not using Norton and not installing outlook at all. My system was
previously running office 2007 with out any problems.

I have several gigs free of hdd and at least 400 mb free of ram. I have
heard there may be some conflict with a printer driver. I have recently
installed a lhp laser printer which by removing I am hoping everything will
return to normal.

I would really like some other avenues to approach short of a system wipe.
