I am a new user who his NOT an accountant or a Techie, and find this program
VERY difficult. Problem: I have entered all of the relevant data in the
"Time and Billing" template and now want to print invoices (which I lucked up
and did once, so I know the info is there). However, I accidentally
"filtered" the data; then I unfiltered it, but now cannot get any of the data
in the "dates worked" field to show. HELP?!

Thank you, Arvin.

I tried that and it didn't work. I am BEYOND confused by the "logic." Now
the invoice design is TOTAL out of whack. SO...I'm starting the whole
@&$#%$! thing over in a brand new template! I'm guessing there is a new
version of Quicken in my future..., just hate to be defeated.

Thanks anyway.

Take a deep breath. It really isn't that difficult. Millions (actually
hundreds of millions) of people use Access, with many of them developing the
databases they work with.

It is actually easier than designing a Quicken invoice (I assume. I am a
Quickbooks developer, and a PeachTree developer as well) Perhaps Quicken is
easier than QuickBooks ... That said Access is even easier (less time
consuming and more powerful), but it takes a bit of study to get started.

Try starting with MVP Crystal Long's tutorial. She has some great video
tutorials as well.

I've looked at videos (online), I've TRIED to read the Access
instructions....all written by and for TECHIES. I am NOT an
accountant...rather, a NEW small business owner who needs to kick out an
invoice by TOMORROW MORNING. All of the data is there (because the correct
totals are showing in the "outstanding" field. BUT I CANNOT GET THE INVOICE
HOURS TO POPULATE! I don't even know where to look for the answer and after
staying up ALL NIGHT to try to "intuit" the logic behind the fields and
populating them...!

I appreciate your attempts to help...but, since you say Quicken is WORSE, I
may have to resort to CRAYON! This is insane!

WOW! Thank you, Arvin! Actually, nearing a fit of rage, I swallowed what
pride I had left and called a friend who's an accountant. He seems to have
worked out all the--according to him, considerable--kinks. Hence, my delay
in getting back to you.

However, I cannot tell you how UNBELIEVABLE you kindness is. What a
generous, thoughtful, COMPASSIONATE thing to offer--your time and expertise!
WOW! If, for some reason, you ever need help with some snarly reporter or
writing a news release...I'm your man...ughhh...woman!

Thank you again!
You are a GOOD person!
