Blank date

Majid

Hello Dear:
I have created a template file that assigned resources are
putting their dates and the other information in. Is
there anyway to have a blank date for every task in that
file?

No there is not.
I would not enter any dates but the start. Enter the durations and the
dependencies and project will calculate the dates. That is what it is
designed to do.

Jack,
Just to be sure Majid understands, I think you meant to say not to enter
any dates except the Project Start Date in Project/Project Information.
Unfortunately I still see a lot of posts where the user wants to enter
dates for every task.

Thank you Jack and John
I have created a project template as a standard that
consists of tasks that user (stakeholders)need to enter
the start date. In this case my template should not have
any starting date which is not the case.

Majid

Hi Majid,

In a template, the start date is immaterial. When you open the template,
immediately Save As... and give it a new name. Then run the Adjust_Dates
macro to enter the new project's start date.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
