Blank responses in email

B

Becky

I have just published our webpage and the home page has a
basic name, address, and message box form on it. I am
getting responses sent to my email, but about half of them
just have the T1, T2, S1, etc and no info. The others
have the requested info and one has no name or address but
the message shows. Is this a problem w/ my form or are
people not filling in the boxes and just submitting? Any
suggestions?

My other question is on the html view, there is a line
that says: U-Confirmation-Url="confirmation.htm"--><strong>
[FrontPage Save Results Component] </strong><!--webbot
Does that look right? I have a component error on the
reports view and don't know how to fix it. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Becky,

It would be helpful if you could provide a URL for your
form page.

Off hand, it sounds like you aren't using any validation
for your form fields.

Even with validation, users can still enter bogus names
and email addresses.

To do a simple validation for your text fields, either
right click or double click on them.

Click validate or choose Form field validation.
Under Data length check Required and then set the minimum
to 3 or 4.
That is enough to require input for a text field.

Also you can rename your fields to more meaning field names than T1, T2, etc
- like Name, Email , etc.

Hi Becky,

Double click the fields in question, then click on validation. Set the field
as required if you must have a value entered. Also, I would change the field
name to something meaningful.
