blank slide as default

does anyone know how, whenever i create a new slide, i can get a blank one
without having to choose it from the selection box on the right? thanks.

Once you have chosen your first slide, blank for the purpose of this reply. Every time you press Ctrl+M you will get a new slide based on the last one chosen. In this case blank
